Over 80 degrees

Hi folks-

It is over 80 degrees. I have not been getting much sleep becuase I have been staying up watching the revival in Lakeland. BUT...I have been working on things.

A secular station is running ads for the Flame. People are watching and the numbers are climbing. I am working on a golf page to go in a sports section. I am also working on forms for advertising and businesses.

Enjoy this day!

Jacob's Birthday

My grandson Jacob is a year old today. According to everyone, I should never have seen him. My daughter put him up for adoption and he was instantly swept up by others. But I had prayed, "God, restore all things." People kept coming to me and telling me they were "sorry." I told them she had 28 days and he would be here. A year later, my daughter and 3 grandchildren, including Jacob live here. He is a great little boy. My daughter always tells people, "he loves his grandfather better than me." Only this morning I walked into the living room and he went to dive off the couch to get to me. He will race down the hall to come and see me.

There were many who were disappointed back then, in my unwillingness to accept the "inevitable." I felt from the day I knew she was pregnant that he was coming here. The lawyer worked over time to get my daughter to stick to her "agreement."

But he is here. And every day I pray and prophesy over him and the others. And I am thankful to God.

So, why write about that here? Because a lot of what I do has to do with the future of generations to come, should the Lord tarry. Some day perhaps he will take over.

Today I am contemplating putting in a new SPORTS section and adding Golf to it. So, maybe by the end of the day. Got to work on a few columns, clean up the front page.

To all of you adding classifieds and events, thanks so much. Momentum is increasing. Post your special events for FREE.

Blessings

Beautiful Weekend

It is supposed to be a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Great weather. Sun. Ironically, despite all the snow in the mountains, the feeling is that April's lack of rain is leading to possible fire conditions here in Vermont.

Yesterday, my grandson walked up to my daughter and said "how old are you?" Alyssa, wearing capri pants, said "26." He said "you need to get bigger pants then!"

We added a wedding section to our site and will be doing a lot of work here. The wedding stands for so many things in the Christian faith, that we feel this will be one of our greatest is offerings.

Was watching the outpouring with Todd Bentley and Roy Fields. If you have not seen this, they just extended the meetings through the 4th of May.

Something is truly "Afoot."

What a day!

I rode to Keene on my motorcycle to visit a fellow minister. We met for lunch and discussed the possibility of some tent meetings and youth rallies. All that aside the weather was gorgeous, sunny and 70 degrees.

Added a new home church meeting page under RELIGION. It couples up with churches and ministries. Also a few new categories under events. There is such a great move of house ministries in New England, it s awesom. Also we have added a LINKS page under resources and will be putting new links in shortly.

Blessings,

Lee

Missing a day

The last few days have been difficult. Two of my grandchildren have not been feeling well, so I have been doing a lot of coddling, a lot of taking care of things. So, not much has really got done. On the other hand the numbers are climbing. I have given a lot of thought to the community idea and I am going to be talking to my brother, the tech about it.

Having said that, there is a lot to do. New articles and columns and getting out and selling.

One of the coolest things is the RSS feed on the blog.

Thanks for thinking about us!

A New Week

I spent most of yesterday working around the house. Recycling center, sweeping driveway, etc. and dealing with a sick grandson. It was gorgeous at 68 degrees and Tina and I took off for a ride. As we cruised up Route 5 along the Conecticut River, the waters were high. Many fields were flooded and there was lots of snow still in the woods. There were a few areas where the temeperatures sank to just above 60, but over all the sun was out and it was beautiful. I tried to talk Tina into a quick trip to Lake George, but alas. duty called. Later she told me she was glad I talked her into taking off.

I added some new pages to The Flame today. One of those pages is The New England Flame Sales Corner. On this page you will see items from local businesses. It will lead to two new projects. One of those projects will be a selling page for businesses located here. For example, let's say you have a book or a CD or a piece of furniture that you make. That can be posted here. For details, write us. We are also making available the opportunity for individual pages here for business people to promote their business or sell products. A single page will begin at $199 per year.

This has also led us to the place of developing a New England Flame Community, where individuals will have web pages. More on that to come.

And one last piece of humor.

"Today I got an award for being a following child," a kindergartner declared to his mom. She was confused and asked. "What is that?" The boy replied, "Our principal told us that attendance awards go to the following children, and she read some names and one was mine."

A long time....

After nearly 2 years, we have re-engaged the Flame. And it is noticable how many people ae excited to hear about it. On the other hand, we are going to do many things different. And so, we hope you will help us.

What are we going to do?

We are going to work very hard at collecting good authors for articles and columns. If you are a writer, then I hope you will contact us.

The biggest thing for us will be finding good quality advertisers. We would like to replace many of the banners on our site with good New England advertisers. So, if you are a business person who would be interested in partnering with us, we would appreciate it.

Blessings to you all.
